Karel Janssens writes a chapter on how to involve intermediaries in the enforcement of IP rights

In the recently published book “Enforcement of Intellectual Rights in Belgium”, Karel Janssens wrote a chapter on how to involve off & online intermediaries in the enforcement of IP rights.  The EU Enforcement Directive enables right holders to apply for an injunction against intermediaries whose services are used by a third party to infringe an intellectual property right.  Using examples from European and national case law, Karel illustrates the broad interpretation of the notion of intermediary and focuses on the scope of the measures that can be imposed upon intermediaries.
