Jeff Keustermans and Peter Blomme have, in cooperation with Michel Flamme (legal counsel of the Flemish radio and television broadcasting organisation (VRT), former attorney of & De Bandt), written a book about Belgian and European copyright law. The book (284 pages) deals with some of the most important aspects of copyright in the light of the introduction of the Code of Economic Law (codification) and the many recent evolutions in the European and Belgian case-law. The authors discuss the conditions required for copyright protection, the beneficiaries of copyright protection, the protection of specific works, the exploitation and moral rights of the author, the exceptions to copyright, the term of protection, and the determination of compensation for damages in case of infringement.
